They that wait upon the Lord

Okay, so first of all, I would like to apologize for not being faithful to you readers, myself, but mainly to God, for not keeping up with this blog I felt led to write...I know it helps me to keep my eyes focused where they need to be and keeps me moving in the right direction...toward being that virtuous woman. Will I ever get there 100%? No, I'm a sinner! But I refuse to quit trying! I may stumble ... More than I should ... But I don't ever want to quit this journey! So, I'm back! Today patience is big on my mind...so that's the topic of this post!

I am waiting for something in my life that I have desired since I was a child. It doesn't matter what it is, because I want you to think of what you desire. I'm not talking about a worldly lust such as a new t.v. I'm talking about a spiritual desire or a desire that could make a difference for God's kingdom. Well, the past few months, I thought I might have been finally gifted that desire, but it just hasn't happened yet. This morning, it was once again clear that I would have to wait longer. Well, I was kind of down, and so I grumbled getting ready for work and headed out the door.  I got in my car and the song on the radio was very fitting... It says...

"Whatever you're doing inside of me
It feels like chaos somehow there's peace
It's hard to surrender to what I can't see
but I'm giving in to something heavenly"

That's when I took a deep breath and said "okay, Gods will is better and perfect...my will is selfish and impatient...I can patiently wait for Gods perfect timing...or I can be unhappy and throw a fit...either way I have to wait....so I might as well just sit back and let the experienced driver drive"....so hard to do sometimes, but it always results in satisfaction! Proverb 13:12 says "Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life." Isn't it great! God knows what we need, when we need it! Sometimes we think we NEED it now, but if we got everything immediately, we wouldn't be so grateful. And we can only see what is immediate, God can see the whole picture. That is why it is so important to trust that God knows what He is doing, always, always, always! Our job is to pray, and to walk with God in everything we do, and all will work out! Philippians 4:6 says, "be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."  I Corinthians 10:31 says, "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all too the glory of God." Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose."

So, I leave you with this thought. Will you wait for God's perfect will, and serve Him while you wait? Or will you move ahead selfishly and unhappily live with your imperfect will? Isaiah 40:31 says, "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Decided this post needs a song with it:
